Stability of the Maxillary and Mandibular Total Arch Distalization Using Temporary Anchorage Devices (TADs) in Adults

چکیده
Distalization with temporary anchorage devices (TADs) is commonly used to resolve crowding and correct molar relationships in non-extraction cases. The purpose of this study was quantify the treatment effects post-treatment stability total arch distalization TADs adults thereby elucidate clinical effect modality. subjects were 39 adult orthodontic patients treated TADs. Lateral cephalograms dental casts taken at pretreatment (T0), (T1), retention period (T2, 29.3 ± 12.8 months) evaluate vertical horizontal movement teeth, changes width rotation. It concluded that even though there a little relapse anteroposterior position maxillary mandibular teeth during retention, no obvious facial profile. Therefore, can be moderate amount length discrepancy effectively stable retention.

Evaluation of mandibular cortical bone thickness for placement of temporary anchorage devices (TADs)
OBJECTIVE In this study, we measured the cortical bone thickness in the mandibular buccal and lingual areas using computed tomography in order to evaluate the suitability of these areas for application of temporary anchorage devices (TADs) and to suggest a clinical guide for TADs. METHODS The buccal and lingual cortical bone thickness was measured in 15 men and 15 women. Bone thickness was me...
متن کاملMandibular molar protraction with temporary anchorage devices.
351 P of mandibular molars is challenging because of the high density of mandibular bone. Anterior dental anchorage is often inadequate to protract even a single first molar without reciprocal retraction of the incisors or movement of the dental midline. Furthermore, if the buccal and lingual cortical plates in the edentulous region have collapsed, safe and effective protraction may be impossib...
متن کاملIndications for and Advantages of TADs Indications for and Advantages of Temporary Anchorage Devices
Are you using micro-implants in your practice for orthodontic anchorage? Hopefully, the answer is yes, but if not, why not? This presentation will suggest some clinical applications in which the use of temporary anchorage devices (TADs) is becoming increasingly common. As our techniques continue to improve, orthodontists can place TADs themselves. This gives orthodontists the ability to determi...
متن کاملTreatment effects of mandibular total arch distalization using a ramal plate
OBJECTIVE The purpose of this study was to evaluate treatment effects after distalization of the mandibular dentition using ramal plates through lateral cephalograms. METHODS Pre- and post-treatment lateral cephalograms and dental casts of 22 adult patients (11 males and 11 females; mean age, 23.9 ± 5.52 years) who received ramal plates for mandibular molar distalization were analyzed. The tr...
متن کاملTotal intrusion and distalization of the maxillary arch to improve smile esthetics
This case report illustrates the successful treatment of a patient with skeletal Class II malocclusion and an unesthetic smile involving excessive gingival display and large buccal corridors. By applying dual buccal interradicular miniscrews, total intrusion of the maxillary dentition along with distalization was induced to improve both the occlusion and smile esthetics. In addition to the conv...
