Stongly Confined Electromagnetic Waves in a Hybrid Photonic–Plasmonic Resonator for Enhancing Light–Matter Interaction

In this paper, a 1D photonic crystal waveguide and plasmonic compound nano-system are utilized to design hybrid photonic-plasmonic device for enhancement of light–matter interaction. Strongly localized light waves in very small volume intensify the optical field, via surface plasmons due presence gold nanoparticle, which interacts with resonator’s cavity mode while nanobeam ensures high temporal confinement. The factor interaction resonator is investigated through single-atom cooperativity parameters based on numerically obtained results, calculated be 14 as result considerably reduced nanoparticle. Additionally, theoretical models calculation procedures, presented demonstrated pioneering fabrication efficient quantum devices resonators.
