Structural, morphological and photocatalytic properties of nanostructured TiO2/AgI photocatalyst

چکیده
Nanostructured TiO2/AgI photocatalyst under the action of ultraviolet or visible electromagnetic radiation effectively neutralizes organic pollutants in aqueous environment. It is a nanostructure which micro- and small mesopores anatase TiO2 are filled with silver iodide superionic state. The content α-AgI ion-conducting phase volume ТіО2 pores can be ~20 wt %.
 To obtain photocatalyst, titanium dioxide synthesized by sol-gel method, using aquacomplex solution [Ti(OH2)6]3+•3Cl- Na2CО3 modifier additive as precursor. modifying during synthesis ensures fixation =О2СО carbonate groups on surface oxide material particles. presence these leads to an increase both pore specific area ТіО2. carbonized 368 m2•g-1, 0.28 cm3•g-1, their size 0.9-4.5 nm.

 Compared Evonik P25-TiO2 nanostructured demonstrates significantly higher efficiency photodegradation dyes Congo Red Methyl Orange radiation. most active ТіО2/40AgI sample achieved complete degradation CR dye 6 minutes UV irradiation, while commercial Р25-TiO2 over same time was only 42%.
