Structures, properties, and challenges of emerging <scp>2D</scp> materials in bioelectronics and biosensors

Bioelectronics are powerful tools for monitoring and stimulating biological biochemical processes, with applications ranging from neural interface simulation to biosensing. The increasing demand bioelectronics has greatly promoted the development of new nanomaterials as detection platforms. Recently, owing their ultrathin structures excellent physicochemical properties, emerging two-dimensional (2D) materials have become one most researched areas in fields biosensors. In this timely review, representative 2D design nanostructures engineering high-performance bioelectronic biosensing devices presented.
