Study of colloidal gold nanorods in liquid dispersions using light scattering methods

Five samples of liquid dispersions colloidal gold nanorods having various aspect ratios have been studied using light scattering methods. Transmission electron microscopy has employed as a reference method. Advantages and drawbacks dynamic nanoparticle tracking analysis methods for study geometrical parameters concentration, sample monodispersity degree detection large particle aggregations quasispherical impurities demonstrated. We show that depolarized method can be used in dispersions. The measurement results depend largely on the presence impurity particles or samples. In turn detected analysis.
