Study the impact of transient state on the doubly fed induction generator for various wind speeds

Abstract Recently, renewable resources such as wind, hydro, and tidal have experienced a rapid development. Electricity production, based on has been concentrated large scale. Additionally, doubly fed induction generator used in wind farms This machine is influenced by the multiple transient states that are happening grid. Many researchers studied effect of voltage-dip DFIG performance; none them sharing with wind-speed changing for both sub- hyper-synchronous modes. In this paper, behavior investigated under state which represented 3-phase voltage-dip, operation modes (sub-synchronous & hyper-synchronous) various values speed. Based MATLAB Simulink, parameters extracted to determine relation between variable speed, performance. Results show affected were rotor-current, rotor-voltage, DC-Link voltage, while stator-current stator-flux not affected. It also shown voltage smaller mode compared sub-synchronous one.
