چکیده

The electron nondipole dynamics in tunneling ionization an elliptically polarized laser field is investigated theoretically using a relativistic Coulomb-corrected strong-field approximation (SFA) based on the eikonal of Klein-Gordon equation. We calculate attoclock angle-resolved light-front momentum distributions at different ellipticities quasistatic and nonadiabatic regimes analyze them with improved simple man's model. correlations between longitudinal transverse components are examined. Deviations photoelectron distribution calculated via SFA respect to available experimental results as well model discussed interpreted terms Coulomb effects continuum under barrier. favorable prospects observation discussed.

Multiphoton Ionization as Time–Dependent Tunneling

A new semiclassical approach to ionization by an oscillating field is presented. For a δ–function atom, an asymptotic analysis is performed with respect to a quantity h, defined as the ratio of photon energy to ponderomotive energy. This h appears formally equivalent to Planck’s constant in a suitably transformed Schrödinger equation and allows semiclassical methods to be applicable. Systematic...

Tunneling dynamics in multiphoton ionization and attoclock calibration.

The intermediate domain of strong-field ionization between the tunneling and multiphoton regimes is investigated using the strong-field approximation and the imaginary-time method. An intuitive model for the dynamics is developed which describes the ionization process within a nonadiabatic tunneling picture with a coordinate dependent electron energy during the under-the-barrier motion. The non...

Subcycle control of electron-electron correlation in double ionization.

Double ionization of neon with orthogonally polarized two-color (OTC) laser fields is investigated using coincidence momentum imaging. We show that the two-electron emission dynamics in nonsequential double ionization can be controlled by tuning the subcycle shape of the electric field of the OTC pulses. We demonstrate experimentally switching from correlated to anticorrelated two-electron emis...

Subcycle-resolved probe retardation in strong-field pumped dielectrics

The response of a bulk dielectric to an intense few-cycle laser pulse is not solely determined by the pulse envelope, but also by ultrafast processes occurring during each optical cycle. Here, a method is presented for measuring the retardation of a probe pulse in a strong-field pumped, bulk dielectric with subcycle resolution in the pump-probe delay. Comparisons to model calculations show that...

State-resolved ultrafast dynamics of impact ionization in InSb

Impact ionization (IMP) is a fundamental process in semiconductors, which results in carrier multiplication through the decay of a hot electron into a low-energy state while generating an electron-hole pair. IMP is essentially a state selective process, which is triggered by electron-electron interaction involving four electronic states specified precisely by energy and momentum conservations. ...
