Subject - specific body segment parameter estimation using 3 D photogrammtery with multiple cameras

Before switching to AgiSoft Photoscan, the open-source programme VisualSFM was used for the photogrammetric reconstruction. VisualSFM gives access to more parameters of the reconstruction algorithm, which made it more difficult to find an optimal set of parameters. For the readers interested in using VisualSFM, the following parameter description (based on the documentation provided here on htt...

Subject-specific body segment parameter estimation using 3D photogrammetry with multiple cameras

Inertial properties of body segments, such as mass, centre of mass or moments of inertia, are important parameters when studying movements of the human body. However, these quantities are not directly measurable. Current approaches include using regression models which have limited accuracy: geometric models with lengthy measuring procedures or acquiring and post-processing MRI scans of partici...

Biplanar Full-Body X-Ray Imaging

A new biplanar x-ray imaging system acquires simultaneous lateral and anteroposterior images while the patient is in a weight-bearing position The imaging system uses novel slot-scanning technology that can acquire simultaneous orthogonal whole-body images at a fraction of the radiation dose of standard x-rays Indications include pathologies that change under load: Spinal problems such as scoli...

We present results from the analysis of deep ROSAT HRI and PSPC observations of the spiral galaxy M81. The inferred total (0.5–2 keV band) luminosity of M81 is ∼ 3×10 ergs s, excluding the contribution from identified interlopers found within the D25 ellipse. The nucleus of the galaxy alone accounts for about 65% of this luminosity. The rest is due to 26 other X-ray sources (contributing ∼ 10%)...
