چکیده
Abstract Polydopamine coating is a unique, simple, and substrate‐independent surface functionalization strategy. Techniques for secondary functionalization, patterning, re‐functionalization of polydopamine modified materials are important to broaden the scope applications such in variety fields. Here, facile strategy patterning presented. This approach combines advantages three methods: coating, versatile gas phase silanization, rapid thiol‐ene photoclick reaction patterning. They demonstrate equally efficient diverse materials, as glass, polytetrafluoroethylene, aluminum, polypropylene, or polyethylene. also show possibility controlled chemical removal patterns by treatment with tetrabutylammonium fluoride, which allows re‐modification re‐patterning substrate. Thus, this universal powerful substrate independent modification can significantly facilitate development novel functional devices useful various applications.

Strong Antibacterial Polydopamine Coatings Prepared by a Shaking-assisted Method
Strong antibacterial polydopamine (PDA) coatings prepared by a facile shaking-assisted method is reported for the first time. It was found that a minor modification made to the conventional synthesis procedure of PDA coatings, viz. replacing the static solution condition with a shaking solution condition by using a mechanical shaker, can produce the roughened polydopamine (rPDA) coatings at dif...
متن کاملColorless polydopamine coatings for creating functional interfaces
Since the emergence of surface modification techniques, including polydopamine (PDA) layers using a single deposition process that is based on the oxidative self-polymerization of dopamine (DA), the number of studies concerning the functionalization of material surfaces via PDA coating has increased. While PDA is simple to apply to cover onto various kinds of substrates, most of conventional PD...

The controlled electrodeposition of functional polydopamine (PDA) thin films from aqueous dopamine solutions is demonstrated with a combination of electrochemistry, atomic force microscopy (AFM), and surface plasmon resonance (SPR) measurements. PDA micropatterns are then fabricated by electrodeposition on micrometer length scale gold electrodes and used for attaching amino-modified single-stra...
متن کاملMicrostructure and Corrosion Performance of Silica Coatings on Aluminum Surface Prepared by Plasma Electrolysis Technique
Silica phases were precipitated on aluminum surface by potentiostatic plasma electrolysis technique. Aqueous sodium silicate solutions with different concentrations were used for this purpose. SEM, EDS, XRD, surface profiles and polarization curves were used to study coatings properties. The results showed that the growth of the silica containing phases on aluminum surface was promoted by incre...
متن کاملMussel-inspired anchoring for patterning cells using polydopamine.
This Article introduces a simple method of cell patterning, inspired by the mussel anchoring protein. Polydopamine (PDA), artificial polymers made from self-polymerization of dopamine (a molecule that resembles mussel-adhesive proteins), has recently been studied for its ability to make modifications on surfaces in aqueous solutions. We explored the interfacial interaction between PDA and poly(...
