Purpose To study the learning processes and mechanisms involved in sustainability-oriented supplier development (SSD), including how knowledge is transmitted by buyer it received, understood internalised supplier. Design/methodology/approach An exploratory longitudinal multi-case approach adopted. The research context a social SSD project focusing on occupational health safety (OHS) management at four factories. paper draws constructs of absorptive capacity boundary objects.
