چکیده

The use of geodesic curves surfaces has enormous potential in architecture due to their multiple properties and easy geometric control using digital graphic tools. Among numerous properties, the a surface are paths along which straight strips can be placed tangentially surface. On this basis, graphical method is proposed discretize strips, optimizes material consumption since rectangular take advantage 100% cutting process. contribution article consists presenting constraints that characterize type panelling from idea “rectifying surface”, considering inextensible. Experimental prototypes have been part research also described final theoretical results presented.

3D Brain surface matching based on geodesics and local geometry

The non-rigid registration of surfaces is a complex and difficult task for which there are many important applications, such as comparing shape between deformable objects and comparing associated function. This paper presents a new approach for brain surface matching by determining the correspondence of 3D point sets between pairs of surfaces. The algorithm is based on shape using a combination...

Limiting Distributions for Geodesics Excursions on the Modular Surface

0. Introduction We begin by recalling a well known result of Dennis Sullivan for geodesic excursions on finite area non-compact surfaces V . Let v(t) be position reached after time t > 0 by a vector traveling at unit speed along the geodesic whose initial unit tangent vector was v(0). This following result describes the behaviour of the distance from v(t) to v(0) for typical geodesics as t tend...

Minimal Geodesics on Groups

The three-dimensional motion of an incompressible inviscid uid is classically described by the Euler equations, but can also be seen, following Arnold 1], as a geodesic on a group of volume-preserving maps. Local existence and uniqueness of minimal geodesics have been established by Ebin and Marsden 16]. In the large, for a large class of data, the existence of minimal geodesics may fail, as sh...
