چکیده
Surfactant flooding is a proven method employed to improve the recovery of crude oil from subsurface reservoirs but knowledge about microemulsion formation, factors related their stability, and trapping mechanism components in still not clear for designing injection fluid specific type. The interaction mechanisms four oils with surfactant-brine solutions were studied this work better insight into molecular level during surfactant flooding. UV–visible absorption fluorescence spectra separated maltene asphaltene fractions indicate structural difference level, particularly, size fused aromatic rings (FAR) present within individual bulk sample. Moreover, FTIR asphaltenes samples clearly showed subtle functional groups respective FAR structures. Well-characterized compositionally different mixed (anionic – SDS, AOS, cationic - CTAB, neutral TX-100) examined using spectroscopic approach. Detailed analysis acquired oil-surfactant-brine distinctly demonstrate entrapment micelles formed by surfactants charges while synchronous show FARs micellar microenvironment. results exhibit that anionic entraps smaller (2–4) whereas entrap small as well medium (2–6) microemulsions. study signifies importance molecular-level customized maximizing petroleum reservoirs.

An Experimental Study of Surfactant Alternating CO2 Injection for Enhanced Oil Recovery of Carbonated Reservoir
Core flooding experiments were conducted with the objective of evaluating near miscible surfactant alternating CO2 injection and the effect of surfactant concentrations on gas-oil and water displacements in porous media. The core samples were provided from a low permeability mixed wet oil reservoir at 156 °F and 1900 psia. In addition, very few studies of surfactant adsorption on car...
متن کاملRESEARCH ON CO2 FLOODING FOR IMPROVED OIL RECOVERY IN WATER FLOODING ABANDONED RESERVOIRS
CO2 injection is an effective technique for improved oil recovery in light oil reservoirs, especially for water flooding abandoned reservoirs. In this study, the lower part of Es1 reservoirs in Pucheng oilfield was introduced as the target reservoir. By studying the minimum miscible pressure in CO2 flooding, the reservoir could achieve miscible flooding. Long core displacement experiments prove...
متن کاملStudy on the Reutilization of Clear Fracturing Flowback Fluids in Surfactant Flooding with Additives for Enhanced Oil Recovery (EOR)
An investigation was conducted to study the reutilization of clear fracturing flowback fluids composed of viscoelastic surfactants (VES) with additives in surfactant flooding, making the process more efficient and cost-effective. The clear fracturing flowback fluids were used as surfactant flooding system with the addition of α-olefin sulfonate (AOS) for enhanced oil recovery (EOR). The interfa...
متن کاملSurfactant Stabilized Nanoemulsion: Characterization and Application in Enhanced Oil Recovery
Nanoemulsions are a class of emulsions with a droplet size in the range of 50–500 nm and have attracted a great deal of attention in recent years because it is unique characteristics. The physicochemical properties of nanoemulsion suggests that it can be successfully used to recover the residual oil which is trapped in the fine pore of reservoir rock by capillary forces after primary and second...
