چکیده
The present study involved assessing the replacement of fine aggregate in mortar with sustainable local materials like clay bricks and glass included 168 specimens (cubes prisms). Seven mixtures were cast for this work, one control mix (R1) 100% natural sand whereas mixes from R2 to R5 have 10% 20% replacing waste separately respectively. Mix R6 was combination (10% glass). R7 has same percent previous but adding Polypropylene fibers 1% by volume. samples put an electrical oven hour at 200, 400, 600 ᵒC then cooled room temperature be tested compared normal 24 ᵒC. Different mechanical tests adopted flow tests, density, weight loss, compressive strength, flexural water absorption. results different temperatures discussed where many findings specified. strength 400 showed improving 56% brick 69% glass, as well all illustrated higher than control. Residual Mechanical Properties of Concrete Made with Crushed Clay Bricks and Roof Tiles Aggregate after Exposure to High Temperatures
This paper presents the residual mechanical properties of concrete made with crushed bricks and clay roof tile aggregates after exposure to high temperatures. One referent mixture and eight mixtures with different percentages of replacement of natural aggregate by crushed bricks and roof tiles are experimentally tested. The properties of the concrete were measured before and after exposure to 2...

"Bricks-and-mortar" vs. "clicks-and-mortar": An equilibrium analysis
The Internet has provided traditional retailers a new means with which to serve customers. Consequently, many ‘‘bricks-and-mortar’’ retailers have transformed to ‘‘clicks-and-mortar’’ by incorporating Internet sales. Examples of companies making such a transition include Best Buy, Wal-Mart, Barnes & Noble, etc. Despite the increasing prevalence of this practice, several fundamental questions re...
متن کاملEffects of Pozzolanic Admixture (Waste Bricks) on Mechanical Response of Mortar
This work presents an experimental study realized at the materials laboratory of the University of M’sila. It consists to vary the percentage of the pozzolanic admixture (waste bricks) in cement by the substitution method (partial replacement of the clinker by the calcined clay). The characteristics of cement at anhydrous state and the hydrated state (chemical composition, specific weight and f...
متن کاملUtilization of waste glass as sand replacement in cement mortar
In this study, alkali silica reaction (ASR) expansion and strength characteristics of mortar containing waste glasses are analyzed in terms of waste glass content and glass color. Three different colors of waste glasses (white, green and brown) are replaced with sand at ratios of 10%, 30% and 100% by weight. The mixtures used in this study did not show a considerable ASR expansion. All batches ...
