Symmetry-Aware SFC Framework for 5G Networks

چکیده
Network Function Virtualization (NFV), network slicing, and Software-Defined Networking (SDN) are the key enablers of fifth generation mobile networks (5G). Service Chaining (SFC) plays a critical role in delivering sophisticated service per slice enables traffic traversal through set ordered Functions (SFs). In fully symmetric SFCs, uplink downlink traverse same SFs, while asymmetric SFC, reverse-path may not necessarily cross SFs reverse order. Proposed approaches literature support either full symmetry or no symmetry. this article, we discuss partial concept that enforces path to only when needed. Our contribution is threefold. First, propose novel SFC framework with an abstraction layer can dynamically create SFCs across multiple administrative technological cloud/edge domains. According Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) desired objectives specified at intent request, would automatise different operations, but specifically generating SFCs. Second, algorithm calculate for by including requiring Third, implement prototype application test performance algorithm. The obtained results show advantages reducing both delivery time load on VNFs.

An Incentive-Aware Lightweight Secure Data Sharing Scheme for D2D Communication in 5G Cellular Networks
Due to the explosion of smart devices, data traffic over cellular networks has seen an exponential rise in recent years. This increase in mobile data traffic has caused an immediate need for offloading traffic from operators. Device-to-Device(D2D) communication is a promising solution to boost the capacity of cellular networks and alleviate the heavy burden on backhaul links. However, dir...
متن کاملLocation-aware Communications for 5G Networks
5G networks will be the first generation to benefit from location information that is sufficiently precise to be leveraged in wireless network design and optimization. We argue that location information can aid in addressing several of the key challenges in 5G, complementary to existing and planned technological developments. These challenges include an increase in traffic and number of devices...
متن کاملEdge Computing Aware NOMA for 5G Networks
With the fast development of Internet of things (IoT), the fifth generation (5G) wireless networks need to provide massive connectivity of IoT devices and meet the demand for low latency. To satisfy these requirements, Non-Orthogonal Multiple Access (NOMA) has been recognized as a promising solution for 5G networks to significantly improve the network capacity. In parallel with the development ...
متن کاملMEC-aware Cell Association for 5G Heterogeneous Networks
The need for efficient use of network resources is continuously increasing with the grow of traffic demand, however, current mobile systems have been planned and deployed so far with the mere aim of enhancing radio coverage and capacity. Unfortunately, this approach is not sustainable anymore, as 5G communication systems will have to cope with huge amounts of traffic, heterogeneous in terms of ...
متن کاملGFDM - A Framework for Virtual PHY Services in 5G Networks
The next generation of wireless networks will face different challenges from new scenarios. The main contribution of this paper is to show that Generalized Frequency Division Multiplexing (GFDM), as a baseline of flexible circular filtered multicarrier systems, can be used as a framework to virtualize the PHY service for the upper layers of 5G networks. This framework opens the possibility to a...
