چکیده

Abstract Syngas production from catalytic gasification of polystyrene and pinewood in CO2 atmosphere was investigated over Ni-Mg/Al2O3 catalyst a fixed-bed reactor at 900 °C. A quasi situ method adopted for wherein the placed downstream feedstock same used enhanced syngas production. The effect on evolutionary behavior, cumulative yield, composition, cold gas efficiency systematically analyzed. results showed that addition resulted yields 63% H2, 20% CO, 119% CH4, 85% C2-C3 yields. Enhanced H2 light hydrocarbon were mainly cracking pyrolytic vapors degradation, while CO yield attributed to CO2-assisted reforming benzene derivatives primary polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) secondary phase condensations. presence also by 150%, 14%, 39%, 16%, respectively, indicating can efficiently enhance gasification. comparison composition between non-catalytic conditions revealed improved quality with increased mole fraction but decreased fraction. Furthermore, 44% 57% gasification, 75% 94% suggest offers promising pathway efficient energy wastes plastics biomass simultaneously using CO2.

Gasification, Producer Gas and Syngas - FSA1051

Gasification involves turning organic fuels (such as biomass resources) into gaseous compounds (producer gas or syngas) by supplying less oxygen than is needed for com plete combustion of the fuel. Gasifica tion occurs at temperatures between 1112o and 2732o F and produces a lowto medium-energy gas depending upon the process type and operating conditions. Gasification of biomass resources is ...

Removal and Conversion of Tar in Syngas from Woody Biomass Gasification for Power Utilization Using Catalytic Hydrocracking

Biomass gasification has yet to obtain industrial acceptance. The high residual tar concentrations in syngas prevent any ambitious utilization. In this paper a novel gas purification technology based on catalytic hydrocracking is introduced, whereby most of the tarry components can be converted and removed. Pilot scale experiments were carried out with an updraft gasifier. The hydrocracking cat...

Catalytic Combustion of Syngas

The catalytic combustion of syngas/air mixtures over Pt has been investigated numerically in a channel-flow configuration using 2D steady and transient computer codes with detailed hetero-/homogeneous chemistry, transport, and heat transfer mechanisms in the solid. Simulations were carried out for syngas compositions with varying H2 and CO contents, pressures of 1 to 15 bar, and linear velociti...
