Systematic Procedure for Mitigating DFIG-SSR Using Phase Imbalance Compensation

چکیده

Replacing conventional generation by power electronics based changes the dynamic characteristics of system. This results among others in increased susceptibility to sub synchronous oscillations (SSO). paper proposes a systematic procedure for mitigating interactions between DFIG and series compensated transmission line using phase imbalance compensation (PIC) concept. The impact parallel PIC on resonance behaviour grid is first thoroughly investigated. Then, influence system strength capabilities mitigate DFIG-SSR assessed. Based findings design framework which enables assessment developed successfully implemented modified IEEE 39 bus Comparison both concepts reveals that better suited DFIG-SSR. impedance stability analysis detailed time domain electromagnetic transient (EMT) simulations are used respectively screen validate results.
