Digital technologies have permeated most aspects of modern life. In particular, the intersection digitalization and physical activity has seen significant developments. Such digital become constitutive adolescents’ life, being a main source information strong influence for their knowledge behavior in activities. These developments raised questions among educational stakeholders worldwide, providing basis education at all school levels. One core goals future is preparing next generation to be able use within activities competently, while same time taking constructive critical perspective on potentials risks. The subject (PE) plays major role this intersection. Since it central curriculum act as systematic framework course learning, particular interest what extent issues appear PE curricula. Against backdrop, paper examines how interpreted official texts across current curricula three German-speaking countries. A qualitative comparative document analysis been applied. findings demonstrate differences valued terms PE. media with predominantly functional character where are primarily used tools, example, movement analyzes aiming improving sports skills. addition, reflection regarding medial effects of, fitness trends or body ideals embedded only rarely addressed. concludes that reforms should address more comprehensive way empower students critically navigating through sport realm.
