چکیده

This prospective study was designed to assess CT performance by using the task-based image quality assessment and identify influence of iterative reconstruction (IR) algorithm, tube potential pitch factor selection on dose during Computed Tomography Pulmonary Angiography (CTPA) examination. An phantom, Catphan-600 utilized in this for assessing CTPA protocols under 128-multislice scanner (Philips Brilliance iCT, USA). The standard were altered its potential, algorithm (IR). Three different levels iDose, an IR measured study. result presented term signal noise ratio (SNR), contrast (CNR), power spectrum (NPS) target transfer function (TTF). A massive improvement CNR distortion texture observed with increasing level. Noise value reduction significantly achieved although there are no changes TTF values. alteration provides some fluctuation both NPS In conclusion, measurement performed, technique allow characterizing a type quantitative local protocols.

Incidental Findings in Patients Evaluated for Pulmonary Embolism Using Computed Tomography Angiography

Introduction: Pulmonary embolism (PE) is a common lethal disease that its clinical symptoms may be seen in many other diseases. Computed tomography pulmonary angiography (CTPA) is a valuable diagnostic modality for detection of PE. In addition, it can accurately detect the other diseases with clinical symptoms similar to PE. The aim of this study is to evaluate the frequency of PE and nonemboli...

Assessment of radiation-induced cancer risk to patients undergoing computed tomography angiography scans

Background: Computed tomography angiography (CTA) scan is a suitable imaging technique to evaluate the blood vessels. However, one major disadvantage is the potential risk of cancer related to ionizing radiation exposure during the procedures. The aim of this investigation was to estimate the risk of exposure induced cancer death (REID) values for some common computed tomography angiography (CT...

Data on the quantitative assessment pulmonary ground-glass opacification from coronary computed tomography angiography datasets

We assessed the CT attenuation density of the pulmonary tissue adjacent to the heart in patients with acute non-ST segment elevation myocardial infarction (J.T. Kuhl, T.S. Kristensen, A.F. Thomsen et al., 2016) [1]. This data was related to the level of ground-glass opacification evaluated by a radiologist, and data on the interobserver variability of semi-automated assessment of pulmonary atte...
