چکیده
The use of alternative fuels is an essential element in future aviation. There are currently different approaches with regard to fuel production processes and feedstock materials. This requires flexible handling available quantities. mixtures (blends) inevitable for effective usage commercially components. Within the framework project DEMO-SPK approx. 600 t a ternary mixture (multiblend) jet was produced used real airport infrastructure at Leipzig/Halle. Production application were accompanied by extensive R&D activities show that on-spec, semi-synthetic multiblends can be from several synthetic fuels. One important aspect emission soot particles aircraft engines. Multiblend Jet A-1 has been analyzed flow reactor setup regarding formation precursor compounds comparison reference A-1. experiment revealed lower relevant precursors which also corresponds higher hydrogen content compared fuel. engine proven during ground runs A300-600 PW4158 showed particle number mass than difference decreased increasing power settings. In summary, reduced ~ 29 % emitted 37 if ICAO landing-and-take-off cycle evaluation.

Topanol A as an Antioxidant for Jet Fuel: Preparation and Application
Topanol A is a phenolic antioxidant additive, which is used in storage tanks for jet fuels produced in the petroleum refineries throughout the country. Topanol A mostly consists of 2,6-di-t-butylphenol. The conventional methods for the preparation of this compound involve ortho-alkylation of phenol using 2-methylpropene (isobutylene) as the alkylating agent. The compound has been prepared by or...
متن کاملEnergy and Environmental Viability of Select Alternative Jet Fuel Pathways
This paper analyzes alternative jet fuels in terms of how they could change emissions from military and civil aircraft and in terms of the challenges in meeting future energy goals. Estimations of the continental United States (CONUS) conventional jet fuel energy usage for the civil and military aviation fleets were used to inform the magnitude and logistics of where the fuels would be needed. ...
متن کاملEmission Characteristics of a Diesel Engine fueled with Diesel-biodiesel-JP-4 Blends
The main objective of this research is to study the effects of JP-4-biodiesel-diesel fuel blends and operating parameters on the emission characteristics of a CI engine. The experimental tests were performed on a four-cylinder DI diesel engine. The Mixture-RSM method was used to develop mathematical models based on experimental data. The results showed that with the increase of the biodiesel pr...

Background and Aim: Autotoxic substances such as JP-4 jet fuel can have negative effects on the auditory system by the various means such as cochlear dysfunction. The purpose of this study was to investigate the combined effects of exposure to JP-4 jet fuel and noise on hearing loss in rats, to determine the possible interference effects of these two risk factors on rat auditory system. Methods...
متن کاملThe influence of jet engine noise on hearing of technical staff.
BACKGROUND Due to high sound pressure levels (SPLs), noise produced by jet planes may be harmful to hearing of people working in their proximity. The aim of this study was to assess the effects of exposure to jet engine noise on technical staff hearing. MATERIAL AND METHODS The study comprised 60 men, aged 24-50 years, employed in army as technical staff and exposed to jet engine noise for 6-...
