چکیده

This study presents a finite element analysis approach to nonlinear and linearized tensegrity dynamics based on the Lagrangian method with nodal coordinate vectors as generalized coordinates. In this paper, without constraints are first derived. The equilibrium equations in three standard forms (in terms of coordinate, member force density, vectors) compatibility equation also given. Then, we present modal constraints. developed is capable conducting following comprehensive studies for any structures accurately: performing rigid body acceptable errors, which achieved by setting relatively high stiffness bars simulation; simulating FEM accurately, where strings can have elastic or plastic deformations; dealing various kinds boundary conditions, example, fixing applying static/dynamic loads at nodes direction (i.e., gravitational force, some specified forces, arbitrary seismic vibrations); accurate analysis, including natural frequency corresponding modes. Three examples, double pendulum, cantilever truss external prism tower, carefully selected studied. results compared software ANSYS. provides deep insight into structures, materials, performances, well an interface towards integrating control theories.

A Super - Element Based on Finite Element Method for Latticed Columns Computational Aspect and Numerical Results

This paper presents a new super-element with twelve degrees of freedom for latticed columns. This elements is developed such that it behaves, with an acceptable approximation, in the same manner as a reference model does. The reference model is constructed by using many Solid elements. The cross section area, moments of inertia, shear coefficient and torsoinal rigidity of the developed new elem...

Evaluation of Fracture Parameters by Coupling the Edge-Based Smoothed Finite Element Method and the Scaled Boundary Finite Element Method

This paper presents a technique to evaluate the fracture parameters by combining the edge based smoothed finite element method (ESFEM) and the scaled boundary finite element method (SBFEM). A semi-analytical solution is sought in the region close to the vicinity of the crack tip using the SBFEM, whilst, the ESFEM is used for the rest of the domain. As both methods satisfy the partition of unity...

A Data Parallel Finite Element Method for Computational Fluid Dynamics on the Connection Machine System

A nite element method for computational uid dynamics has been implemented on the Connection Machine systems CM-2 and CM-200. An implicit iterative solution strategy, based on the preconditioned matrix-free GMRES algorithm, is employed. Parallel data structures built on both nodal and elemental sets are used to achieve maximum parallelization. Communication primitives provided through the Connec...
