چکیده
There is an expanding interest in medicinal and aromatic plants as a natural alternative to synthetic drugs, especially antimicrobial agents due the growing problem of antibiotic resistance. In recent years, lot reports have been published on activity plant extracts. This study was used Lavandula angustifolia L., Mentha piperita Ribes nigrum L. materials. aims test extracts against oral bacteria. Its purpose produce directly comparable, quantitative, data, addition containing very little information different pathogens. Disc diffusion method studied for tests. Also, minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) values were determined this study. Additionally, tested stable 2,2-diphenyl-1-picryl-hydrazyl-hydrate• (DPPH•) free radicals non-enzymatic antioxidant activity. Trolox (6-hydroxy-2,5,7,8-tetra-methyl chroman-2-carboxylic acid) standard. The showed inhibition zones methanol extract highest zone pathogen MBKK5. positive control penicillin (10 μg). lowest MIC value taken at 6500 μg /ml DPPH• radical scavenging found 36%. As result, antibacterial potential.

Variations in quantity and quality of essential oil (EO) from the aerial parts of cultivated Mentha piperita were determined. The EO of air-dried sample was obtained by a hydrodistillation method and analyzed by a gas chromatography/mass spectrometry (GC/MS). The antifungal activity of the EO was investigated by broth microdilution methods as recommended by Clinical and Laboratory Standards Ins...

The essential oil was obtained by hydrodistillation and the identification and quantification of components were achieved with the use of GC-MS analysis. The antioxidant activity was evaluated by the method of sequestration of DPPH. Essential oils were used for study the cytotoxic front larvae of Artemia salina. In the evaluation of the antimicrobial activity of essential oils, we employed the ...
