The calibration method of the circle-structured light measurement system for inner surfaces considering systematic errors

Abstract Light plane deviation and motion direction of stage systems are the two main sources systematic errors in circle-structured light inner surface measurement systems. In this paper, we propose a new two-step calibration method to compensate these errors. first step, more accurate initial result is obtained by multi-position binocular-structured calibration. Then, second optimized measuring radius standard ring gauge obtain optimal result. Based on result, real also calibrated optimization using scanning data gauge. The proposed improves system accuracy through making it convenient operate without complex targets or expensive equipment. Therefore, has potential be used actual measurements. experimental results show that mean relative error can reach 0.015% our homemade validate realizes high-precision high-repeatability measurements for surfaces.
