The Composition of Dissolved Organic Matter in Arable Lands: Does Soil Management Practice Matter?

چکیده
Dissolved organic matter (DOM) is a key soil quality property, indicative of the stored in soil, which may also be function temporal variation. This study examines whether DOM robust property controlling fertility, or if it change with time. Altogether eight sets samples were collected 2018 and 2019 from cultivated topsoil (0–10 cm) cropland nearby grassland near Martonvásár, Hungary. The sites characterized by Chernozem part long-term experimental project comparing effects manure application fertilization to control under maize wheat monocultures. was extracted distilled water. dissolved carbon (DOC), total nitrogen (DN), biological index (BIX), fluorescence (FI), humification (HIX), (C/N) ratio specific ultraviolet absorbance at 254 nm (SUVA254) studied arable soils, results showed that all humified, suggesting relevant microbiological contributions decomposition OM its conversion into more complex molecules (FI = 1.2–1.5, BIX ~0.5, HIX ~0.9). Temporal variations detected only for permanent where higher concentration found spring. increased content mainly originated solid phase associated, recalcitrant OM. In contrast, there no differences among treatments sampling dates cropfield conditions. Moreover, climatic conditions not proven as general ruler properties. Therefore, momentary alone necessarily direct this measure needs further details achieve adequate comparability.

متن کاملInteractions of carbamazepine in soil: effects of dissolved organic matter.
Pharmaceutical compounds (PCs) and dissolved organic matter (DOM) are co-introduced into soils by irrigation with reclaimed wastewater. We targeted carbamazepine (CBZ) as a model compound to study the tertiary interactions between relatively polar PCs, DOM, and soil. Sorption-desorption behavior of CBZ was studied with bulk clay soil and the corresponding clay size fraction in the following sys...

Plug-flow biofilm reactors colonized by microorganisms in streamwater were used to measure the concentration and composition of biodegradable dissolved organic C (BDOC) in White Clay Creek. During the 4-month study period, DOC ranged from 0.8 to 10.4 mg C liter-’ and was, on average, composed of 75% humic substances, 13% carbohydrates, 2% amino acids, and 18% > 100 kDa. The carbohydrates were p...
