Global warming is an imminent threat that the world and its inhabitants have to confront. As such, it duty of pavement industry as a contributor greenhouse gas emissions, pave way by lowering carbon footprint. It vital new measures are adopted in order do so such employing use emulsion-based mixtures (EBM). The problem with this performance properties inferior traditional hot mix asphalts (HMAs). air void content EBM very high considered unacceptable road engineers for application surface layer. That said, these not only environmentally friendly but also boast ecological economic advantages. An innovate approach was applied research using pre-compaction microwave processing technique develop novel, half-warm asphalt mixture (H-WM). This shown improved mechanical lower content. comprised cementitious binary blended filler, were prepared heating over different lengths time. Stiffness modulus, voids temperature used establish optimum radiation results indicated 1.5 min decreased from 8.92% 7.12%. A 7% improvement stiffness modulus found within limits (43°C). Hydration accelerated radiation, demulsification bitumen emulsion promoted. Microwave positive impact on permanent deformation at elevated temperatures comparison two reference HMAs used. proved be adequate produce fast-curing H-WM Water damage resistance microwaved (99%) better than HMA mixes. findings study show novel has superior EBM.
