The DIVING3D survey – Deep Integral Field Spectrograph View of Nuclei of Galaxies – I. Definition and sample presentation

We present the Deep Integral Field Spectrograph View of Nuclei Galaxies (DIVING$^{3D}$) survey, a seeing-limited optical 3D spectroscopy study central regions all 170 galaxies in Southern hemisphere with B < 12.0 and |b| > 15 degrees. Most observations were taken Unit Gemini Multi-Object Spectrograph, at South telescope, but some are also being Astrophysical Research Telescope (SOAR) Spectrograph. The DIVING$^{3D}$ survey was designed for nuclear emission-line properties, circumnuclear (within scales hundreds pc) stellar gas kinematics archaeology. data have combination high spatial spectral resolution not matched by previous surveys will result significant contributions studies related to, example, statistics low-luminosity active galactic nuclei, ionization mechanisms Low-Ionization Nuclear Emission-Line Regions, nature transition objects, among other topics.
