The simulation is based on 3 m span blade prototype. has surface and cam mechanism that modifies aerodynamic profile adapts to different configurations. was built with fiberglass composite, internal consists structure actuated an eccentric cam. deforms five sections blade, airfoil geometry for each section measured from zero displacement full displacement. data were interpolated obtain profiles model in process. consisted determining coefficients deformed surfaces range speeds. calculated BEM method (QBlade®); as result, compared deformation Finally, decrease up approximately 6% mean bending moment suggests rotor presented this can be used reduce extreme fatigue loads turbines.
