The Effect of Reservoir Cultivation on Conventional Maize in Sandy-Loam Soil
نویسندگان
چکیده
Maize grown on sloped areas is susceptible to surface runoff and soil erosion, especially if traditional technology with tillage employed. As a result, other solutions are being sought that address this risk acceptable farmers. The combination of inter-row cultivation the formation small reservoirs appears be suitable alternative solution applicable in corn cultivation. In years 2020, 2021, 2022, three plots land southern Bohemia, Czech Republic, were selected for testing, which approach was tested. During field experiments, variants compared each year: reservoirs, only, control without any mechanical intervention. All subjected rain simulation, from evaluated. highest retention manifested reservoir by 2.4–4.2 min, cultivated variant, 2–4.2 min control. This result would correspond difference 5.7–9.8 mm retained precipitation 4.6 7.3 mm, respectively. hydraulic conductivity evaluated after canopy closure. lowest values invariably reached up 88% lower than variant 79% fresh matter yield forage maize shown inconclusively higher 10% 2020 2022 reservoirs. However, dry always only. Overall, an effective method rainwater agricultural slope 6° significant effect maize.

cement is an essential ingredient in the concrete buildings. for production of cement considerable amount of fossil fuel and electrical energy is consumed. on the other hand for generating one tone of portland cement, nearly one ton of carbon dioxide is released. it shows that 7 percent of the total released carbon dioxide in the world relates to the cement industry. considering ecological issu...

Effect of Corn Residue Biochar on the Hydraulic Properties of Sandy Loam Soil
Biochar has an ability to alter the biological, chemical, and physical properties of soil due to its physicochemical properties such as surface area, porosity, nutrient retention ability, available nutrient contents, aromaticity, etc. The present study was designed to evaluate the impact of physical properties and application rate of biochar on the hydraulic properties of a sandy loam soil in t...
متن کاملEffect of Varying Rates of Organic Amendments on Porosity and Infiltration Rate of Sandy Loam Soil
Infiltration rate and porosity of sandy loam soil amended separately with goatyard manure (GYM) and poultry waste at 30, 50 and 70 tonnes/hectare each were investigated and the results were statistically analyzed using SPSS ver 17 package. Infiltration rates under GYM amendment and poultry waste amendment showed significant difference (p≤0.01), indicating that the variation of infiltration unde...
