چکیده
Abstract Background The importance of the evaluation right compartments heart is beyond doubts. Right ventricle (RV) plays one leading roles in assessing prognosis patients, especially context metabolic syndrome (MS), insulin resistance and visceral obesity. Several trials highlight epicardial fat thickness (EFT) as a novel marker obesity proximity to RV does not exclude its direct effect on ventricular function. More that, EFT represents metabolically active organ with wide range bioeffects that could potentiate cardiometabolic risk profile patients MS Purpose objective present study was evaluate impact obesity, hypertrophy diastolic global function exercise capacity (i.e., duration (ED), equivalents (METs)) persevered left Methods We included 97 subjects (mean age 54±8.7 years) controls without 53±9.6 years, P=0.13). defined by ≥3 criteria International Diabetes Federation American Heart Association/National Heart, Lung, Blood Institute. Using 2D echocardiography we assessed function: ratio early late tricuspid flow velocities (Et/At), velocity annular (Et/e't), Et deceleration time (DT); Tei index pulsed tissue Doppler; free wall thickness; (EFT). All participants underwent ECG stress test (cycle ergometry) determined ED METs. Results Et/At, Et/e't, EtDT were significantly deteriorated group (all P<0.05). Also, showed significant correlations parameters MS, respectively: Et/At (r=−0.432, P<0.05; r=−0.523, P<0.01), Et/e't (r=0.334, P<0.01; r=0.291, (r=0.411, r=0.593, P<0.001). positively correlated (r=0.628, P<0.001) (r=0.623, In bivariate analysis found METs negatively associated (r=−0.208, P=0.033), (r=−0.295, (r=−0.515, P<0.001), (r=−0.504, (r=−0.646, P<0.05) group. important negative correlation same Systolic did show statistically or ED. Multivariate regression thickness, independently (P<0.05). Conclusions Our findings support tolerance syndrome. Funding Acknowledgement Type funding sources: None.

Determination of the Effects of Digoxin on the Right Ventricular Function in Patients Undergoing Pneumonectomy
Introduction: Pneumonectomy is the standard treatment of lung cancer, even though patients should undergo several evaluations before surgery; deterioration of cardiopulmonary function after pulmonary resection is inevitable. We have evaluated the effects of digoxin on the improvement of right ventricular function and prevention of probable complications after lung resection surgery. Materials a...
متن کاملEpicardial excitation studies in dogs with congenital right ventricular hypertrophy.
The time and sequence of epicardial activation was determined by measuring the onset of activation at 26 to 47 representative epicardial sites on each ventricle. Normal dogs and dogs with right ventricular hypertrophy resulting from various congenital heart lesions were studied. The total right ventricular epicardial activation time was slightly prolonged (10 msec) in some dogs with right ventr...
متن کاملRight ventricular hypertrophy.
The electrocardiograms of 22 cases showing isolated right ventricular hypertrophy at autopsy were examined for changes suggestive of right ventricular hypertrophy. Only 5 of 22 cases fulfilled at least one of the criteria of Sokolow and Lyon and only three could be diagnosed as having right ventricular hypertrophy by the criteria of Myers, Klein and Stofer. Factors contributing to the developme...
متن کاملEpicardial activation and repolarization patterns in patients with right ventricular hypertrophy.
To map global epicardial repolarization patterns and test the "SI" model of T wave generation, the patterns of epicardial activation and repolarization in patients with chronic pulmonary thromboembolism and right ventricular hypertrophy were studied by computerized mapping techniques and monophasic action potential (MAP) recording. The ventricular activation patterns were characterized by delay...

• The chronic hypoxia of high altitude produces an elevated pulmonary arterial pressure" resulting in right ventricular hypertrophy.' Cournand has proposed that the pulmonary hypertension and subsequent right ventricular hypertrophy found in patients with chronic pulmonary disease are associated with polycythemia, hypervolemia, and increased cardiac output secondary to the hypoxemia present in ...
