The Fsp region from fusion protein gene of canine distemper virus: high variability?

چکیده
The Canine Distemper is one of the main infectious diseases in domestic dogs. introduction live attenuated-viral vaccines has helped to maintain disease under control. However, past few decades it been observed worldwide a rising number cases even vaccinated animals. canine distemper virus lineages circulating world have described based on hemagglutinin analyses, due its high degree genetic variability. Recently, new studies reported greater variations amino acidic sequence region fusion protein. In order determine variability field strains comparison with and from other lines, this dissertation genomic Fsp protein gene analyzed. With purpose, chain-reaction polymerase reverse transcription, capable amplifying variable region, was implemented identified through nucleotide sequence. These sequences were compared vaccine known lineages. Additionally, phylogenetic tree built for region. results nucleotides show that more homology strain Onderstepoort according phylogeny, would belong America 1 lineage.

BACKGROUND: Canine Distemper (CD) is a lethal systemicdisease affecting a wide variety of terrestrial carnivores.OBJECTIVES: This study was performed to survey epidemiologicaland molecular characteristics of the canine distemper virus(CDV) strains circulating in Iran. METHODS: In this study, 19CDV-suspected unvaccinated dogs from Northeast and center ofIran were analyzed for presence of CDV nuc...

Membrane fusion for morbillivirus cell entry relies on critical interactions between the viral fusion (F) and attachment (H) envelope glycoproteins. Through extensive mutagenesis of an F cavity recently proposed to contribute to F's interaction with the H protein, we identified two neighboring hydrophobic residues responsible for severe F-to-H binding and fusion-triggering deficiencies when the...

Canine distemper virus (CDV; Paramyxoviridae, Morbillivirus) is the etiologic agent of a multisystemic infectious disease affecting all terrestrial carnivore families with high incidence and mortality in domestic dogs. Sequence analysis of the hemagglutinin (H) gene has been widely employed to characterize field strains, permitting the identification of nine CDV lineages worldwide. Recently, it...
متن کاملRegion between the canine distemper virus M and F genes modulates virulence by controlling fusion protein expression.
Morbilliviruses, including measles and canine distemper virus (CDV), are nonsegmented, negative-stranded RNA viruses that cause severe diseases in humans and animals. The transcriptional units in their genomes are separated by untranslated regions (UTRs), which contain essential transcription and translation signals. Due to its increased length, the region between the matrix (M) protein and fus...
متن کاملPhylodynamic analysis of the canine distemper virus hemagglutinin gene
BACKGROUND Canine distemper (CD) is one of the most contagious and lethal viral diseases in dogs. Despite the widespread use of vaccines, the prevalence of the CD virus (CDV) has increased at an alarming rate in recent years. In this phylodynamic study, we investigated the spatiotemporal modes of dispersal, viral demographic trends, and effectiveness of vaccines for CDV. A total of 188 full-len...
