Today, very complex economic relationships exist between finance, technology, social needs, and so forth, which represent the requirement of sustainability. Sustainable consumption resources, production energy policies are keys for a sustainable development. Moreover, growing request in bio-based industrial raw materials requires reorganization chains sectors. This is based on new technological choices, with need measurements their impacts environment, society economy. In this way, requirements must be taken into account by decision-makers. So, require indicators. These indicators link economics, technologies well-being, together. paper, an irreversible thermodynamic approach developed order to improve Human Development Index, HDI, Thermodynamic THDI, indicator optimisation approach, linked socio-economic ecological evaluations. To do so, entropy rate introduced relation CO2 emission flows due anthropic activities. HDI modified, named Index results as that considers both equity environmental conditions. Examples use presented. particular, it possible highlight that, if actions reduce emission, remains constant, while THDI changes its value, pointing out usefulness decision makers evaluate priori effectiveness decisions.
