The Influence of Agitation Rates, pH and Calcium Carbonate on L-lysine Production by Bacillus subtilis using Agricultural Products as Carbon and Nitrogen Sources

L-Lysine is an essential amino acid that required in the diet of humans and animals. It utilized human medicine, cosmetics pharmaceutical industry. ’The influence agitation rates, pH calcium carbonate on L-lysine production by Bacillus subtilis using agricultural products as carbon nitrogen sources was studied. The L-lysine-producing bacteria had already been isolated from Nigerian soil. They were purified Identified B. PR13 PR9, cultural, biochemical molecular characteristics. Optimization some parameters which included values CaCO3 concentrations, species carried out. produced 250 ml flasks containing fermentation media (FM1 FM2). findings revealed that, enhanced yield 2.10 1.33 mg/ml observed at rate 180 rpm for PR9 respectively.
