The Kinematics of Fixed-Seat Rowing: A Structured Synthesis

چکیده
Olympic-style sliding-seat rowing is a sport that has been extensively researched, with studies investigating aspects related to the physiology, biomechanics, kinematics, and performance of rowers. In contrast, on more classic form fixed-seat are sparse. The aim this study address lacuna by analysing for first time specific kinematics as practised able-bodied athletes, thus (i) documenting how technique performed in manner replicable others (ii) showing compares contrasts standard technique. Fixed-seat was replicated biomechanics laboratory where experienced rowers, marked reflective markers following modified Helen–Hayes model, were asked row mimics boat. findings from study, complimented data gathered through observation athletes water, compared ergometer other control experiments. results show that, rowing, there forward backward thoracic movement than (75–77° vs. 44–52°, p < 0.0005). Tilting upper body stems noted result rotations around pelvis, rather spinal movements. also confirmed knee flexion range motion 30–35°. This less pronounced standard-seat but not insignificant. These provide biomechanical explanation why rowers do have an increased risk back injuries when their counterparts. They coaches, personnel precise detailed information so they may formulate better evidence-based training programs meliorate performance.

A Fuzzy Qualitative Framework for Indoor Rowing Kinematics Analysis
In this article an outline of a fuzzy qualitative framework for the indoor rowing kinematics analysis have been proposed. Main goal of introducing this fuzzy qualitative framework is to bridge the gap between high level of quantitative details obtained with various present – day sensory or video inputs and symbolic representation used by rowing experts. A Fuzzy qualification process of kinemati...

heteropoly acids (hpa) and their salts have advantages as catalysts which make them both economically and environmentally attractive, strong br?nsted acidity, exhibiting fast reversible multi-electron redox transformations under rather mild conditions, very high solubility in polar solvents, fairly high thermal stability in the solid states, and efficient oxidizing ability, so that they are imp...

15 صفحه اولDifferences in spinopelvic kinematics in sweep and scull ergometer rowing.
OBJECTIVE The spinopelvic kinematics of sweep and scull have yet to be investigated, despite evidence suggesting that sweep rowing may be provocative for low back pain (LBP). The aim of this study was to determine whether differences existed in spinopelvic kinematics in high-level rowers without LBP in sweep and scull ergometer rowing. DESIGN Repeated measures study. SETTING Institute of Sp...
