The Past, Present and Future of Machine Translation in China: A Visualization Study Based on CNKI Literature (1959-2021)

Machine translation, a product of technical growth, is advancing the field translation. With aid visualization analysis techniques, this study examines machine translation literature published in CNKI database from 1959 to 2021 while analyzing its history, key issues, arguments, and future directions related research. The proposal then made that, light tendency toward technological advancement, fields research education should take on disciplinary duties associated with motivation for “collaborations between humans use machines humans.” also emphasizes how important it improve students’ competence, support localization language services, integrate information technology into instruction.
