The Slashed Power Half-Normal Distribution with Applications

چکیده
In this paper, an extension of the power half-normal (PHN) distribution is introduced. This new model built on application slash methodology for positive random variables. The result a with greater kurtosis than PHN; i.e., its right tail heavier PHN distribution. Its probability density, survival and hazard rate function are studied, moments, skewness coefficientes obtained, along relevant properties interest in reliability. It also proven that can be expressed as scale mixture uniform Moreover, holds limit case when parameter tends to infinity. parameters estimated by method moments maximum likelihood. A simulation study given illustrate good behavior likelihood estimators. Two real applications fatigue fracture data included, which our proposal outperforms other models.
