چکیده

In this study, the variations of topside ionospheric irregularities during 24 geomagnetic storms with Dst ≤ −50 nT in 2015 were examined through an algorithm specifically designed to detect a significant level irregularities. The was developed use several parameters derived from total electron content (TEC) observations GRACE, Swarm-C, and Swarm-B. local time characteristics observed equatorial plasma (EPIs) analyzed different phases storms, within 30° S–30° N magnetic latitudes. By comparing its results corresponding in-situ density data previous studies, found be efficient. It that detected EPIs at stages storm showed dependence. For instance, nighttimes, but took place daytime occasionally main phase. Furthermore, percentage occurrence rates most prominent phase post-sunset sector less than 6 h onset. On other hand, became post-midnight/morning recovery even higher sector. Based on these findings it concluded dominant driver enhanced post-midnight/daytime could associated disturbance dynamo electric fields.

Ionospheric redistribution during geomagnetic storms

[1]The abundance of plasma in the daytime ionosphere is often seen to grow greatly during geomagnetic storms. Recent reports suggest that the magnitude of the plasma density enhancement depends on the UT of storm onset. This possibility is investigated over a 7year period using global maps of ionospheric total electron content (TEC) produced at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory. The analysis confir...

Investigation of the effects of geomagnetic storms on ionospheric irregularities using the combination of ground-based GNSS and SWARM satellites

Geomagnetic storms are one of the main causes of ionospheric perturbations in different sizes, depending on their intensity, which could disturb radio signals passing through this medium. On September 6-12, 2017, the sudden storm commencement (SSC) was the most massive geomagnetic storm of the year due to the X9 solar flare caused by a coronal mass ejection (CME). IMF-Bz and Dst values increase...

Ionospheric f oF2 anomalies during some intense geomagnetic storms

The global evolutions of f oF2 anomalies were examined for three very intense geomagnetic storms, namely the Halloween events of October–November 2003 (Event X, 29–30 October 2003, Dst −401 nT; Event Y, 20–21 November 2003, Dst −472 nT), and the largest Dst storm (Event Z, 13–14 March 1989, Dst −589 nT). For Event X, troughs (negative storms) were clearly seen for high northern and southern lat...

the effect of e-64 on the developmental competence of sheep cocs during in vitro maturation

in the present study, the effect of e-64 at different concentrations (0.5, 1, 5 and 10 µm) added to (1) the ivm medium on oocyte nuclear maturation and developmental competence of ovine oocytes, and (2) to the ivc medium on embryonic development of ovine embryos were investigated.

Trans - ionospheric GPS signal delay gradients observed over mid - latitude Europe during the geomagnetic storms of October - November 2003

Ionospheric disturbances are known to have adverse effects on the satellite-based communication and navigation. One particular type of ionospheric effects, observed during major geomagnetic storms and threatening the integrity performance of both ground-based and space-based GNSS augmentation systems, is the sharp increase/decrease in the ionospheric delay that propagates in horizontal directio...
