چکیده

The use of rapid-hardening cementitious materials for the emergency repair critical infrastructure in coastal environments is becoming increasingly widespread, and concrete surface hydrophobic protection treatment equally necessary to improve durability both new old concrete. Among them, silane-based play an important role protection. Graphene oxide (GO)-modified silane can significantly performance coatings, but mechanism coatings modifying sulfoaluminate cement’s main hydration product ettringite (AFt) has not yet been explored. In this study, molecular dynamics simulations were conducted investigate wetting properties water droplets on AFt, isobutyltriethoxy (IBTS)-modified IBTS/GO-modified AFt. It was found that AFt substrate had good hydrophilicity, could wet interface through Ca-O ionic bonds H-bonds. IBTS coating initially impeded droplet wetting, adsorption stability poor under action, leading penetration dispersion surface. However, IBTS/GO restricted due stable GO strong hydrogen between GO. conclusion, selecting a suitable bridging material crucial improving cement materials.

Molecular Dynamics Simulations of Freezing Behavior of Pure Water and 14% Water-NaCl Mixture Using the Coarse-Grained Model

We performed molecular dynamics simulations using the coarse-grained model to study the freezing behavior of pure water and 14% water-salt mixture in a wide range of temperatures for a very long time around 50 nanoseconds. For the salty water, an interface in nanoscale was used. For both systems, the f...

experimental and theoretical study of the dynamics of surface evaporation of water droplets on different surfaces

in this paper, the dynamics of evaporation of water droplets on surfaces with different contact angle hysteresis is studied experimentally and theoretically. the evaporation of water droplets on surfaces usually occurs in three distinct stages, namely the constant contact area mode, followed by the constant contact angle mode, and the mixed mode in which both contact angle and contact area are ...

Wetting behavior of water on silicon carbide polar surfaces.

Technically important wide band-gap semiconductors such as GaN, AlN, ZnO and SiC are crystallized in polar structures. Taking SiC as an example, we investigate the effect of surface polarity on the wetting behavior by water using experiments and molecular dynamic simulations. It is found that the contact angle (CA) of deionized water on the carbon-face (C-face) is significantly larger than that...
