چکیده

Abstract The current standard methods of determining the mechanical losses ICE by motoring do not correspond to low pressures in cylinders real engine operation. new tried and tested method passive resistances with high working is based on blowing doses compressed air into around BDC special self-acting valves. When method, same course load crank mechanism, including piston group, achieved during combustion. measurement proved problem-free functionality valves, conducted experiments provided data dependence heat cylinder.

Cylinder Pressures and Vibration in Internal Combustion Engine Condition Monitoring

Abstract: We focus on the detection of incipient faults in an internal combustion engine using a minimum number of sensory information. Inducing several faults in a 4 stroke diesel engine, cylinder pressure (P) and vibration (V) data are acquired. Two sets of artificial neural nets (ANN) are trained separately, using features from the pressure and vibration data. Both sets of nets show very goo...

Engine Modeling of an Internal Combustion Engine

In the modern world, one of the largest concerns is the ever depleting supply of oil. The automotive industry is especially impacted. In recent years the price of gasoline has fluctuated substantially and the price of crude oil has reached record highs. The high price of gasoline coupled with the uncertainty of its availability and future price have put a high priority on fuel economy of an eng...

Mathematical Modeling and Numerical Investigation of Heat Flux at the External Surface of Cylinder of an Internal Combustion Engine

Abstract: This study deals with modeling of heat flux at the external surface of combustion chamber wall in an internal combustion (IC) engine as a function of crank angle. This investigation results in an inverse heat conduction problem in the cylinder wall. Alifanov regularization method is used for solving this inverse problem. This problem study as an optimization problem in which a square...

Increasing waste heat recovery from an internal combustion engine by a dual-loop non-organic Rankine Cycle

This research proposes the combination of a dual-loop non-organic Rankine cycle (DNORC) with an internal combustion engine to increase the output power of the recovery system by focusing on the increase in the energy input and system efficiency. In doing so, it investigates the strategy of increasing the mean effective temperature of heat addition in the high-temperature Rankine cycle (HTRC) (t...

Time Irreversibility of Cycle-by-Cycle Engine Combustion Variations

Spark-ignition engines exhibit patterns of increasing instability as engine fueling goes from stoichiometric to lean. The observation of time irreversibility in cycleresolved combustion measurements indicates that this combustion instability is inherently nonlinear. Using time return maps and symbolic time-series analysis, we demonstrate the presence of strong time irreversibility in experiment...
