Earlier investigations on passive cooling methods applied software modelling, and the findings were not confirmed through field measurement. Hence, this study a stationary experiment real structure weather conditions employing horizontal sun shading (SDH). The purpose of was to compare performance fixed sun-shading devices put bare façade three-story terrace shophouses in Malaysia. revealed that SDH significantly improved internal thermal environment by lowering average monthly indoor air temperature (Ta) 0.98 K peak 2.11 K. is also effective during warmest sunny days, 1.23 for day. Meanwhile, reduced control room 5.40 time.When it came mean radiant (Tmrt), performed better than very hot peakover month (2.38 K) highest day (7.70 K). Finally, can be inferred worked from late at night until early morning, faster. This quiescent choice one best enhancing building's while possibly contributing decrease operational energy consumption.
