Thin films of titanium dioxide modified with MoO<sub>3</sub> nanostructures for photocatalytic applications

Abstract TiO 2 thin films modified with MoO 3 nanostructures were obtained by the spin coating technique. The precursors solutions prepared sol-gel technique adding colloids of Mo-based laser irradiation powders suspended in liquid media. It was found that layered form colloidal solutions. characterized X-Ray Photoelectron, Raman, Ultraviolet– Visible and PL Spectroscopies, Scanning Electron Microscopy. XPS reveal presence films. Raman results show crystalline its anatase phase is obtained. These indicate are forming composites which molybdenum trioxide incorporated titania film. Optical measurements band gap energy for all samples vary from 3.3 to 3.5 eV.
