چکیده

Acoustic asymmetric focusing (AAF) has attracted widespread attention owing to its great potential in medical ultrasound. The recent development of acoustic metamaterials and metasurfaces provided various concepts achieve AAF systems. Generally, the previously demonstrated lenses were limited one-dimensional structures, leading difficulties practical applications. realization three-dimensional (3D) space based on a two-dimensional (2D) device still remains challenge. Here, we experimentally numerically study 2D lens mode converters composed two pairs phased unit cells I II step waveguide. Based phase profile sound waveguide converters, design demonstrate type observe transmission simultaneously 3D under excitation zero-order wave. Both phenomena arise from modulation cutoff frequency first-order wave for waveguide, respectively. fractional bandwidth (the ratio center frequency) can reach about 0.14. proposed lens, as well associated converter, paves way manipulation that applications devices.

Three-dimensional coupled mode analysis of internal-wave acoustic ducts.

A fully three-dimensional coupled mode approach is used in this paper to describe the physics of low frequency acoustic signals propagating through a train of internal waves at an arbitrary azimuth. A three layer model of the shallow water waveguide is employed for studying the properties of normal modes and their coupled interaction due to the presence of nonlinear internal waves. Using a robu...

Three-dimensional spatiotemporal focusing of holographic patterns

Two-photon excitation with temporally focused pulses can be combined with phase-modulation approaches, such as computer-generated holography and generalized phase contrast, to efficiently distribute light into two-dimensional, axially confined, user-defined shapes. Adding lens-phase modulations to 2D-phase holograms enables remote axial pattern displacement as well as simultaneous pattern gener...

Three-dimensional continuous particle focusing in a microfluidic channel via standing surface acoustic waves (SSAW).

Three-dimensional (3D) continuous microparticle focusing has been achieved in a single-layer polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) microfluidic channel using a standing surface acoustic wave (SSAW). The SSAW was generated by the interference of two identical surface acoustic waves (SAWs) created by two parallel interdigital transducers (IDTs) on a piezoelectric substrate with a microchannel precisely bon...
