Transcriptomic Profiling of Cold Stress-Induced Differentially Expressed Genes in Seedling Stage of Indica Rice
نویسندگان
چکیده
Cold stress significantly constrains the growth, development, productivity, and distribution of rice, particularly indica cultivar, known for its susceptibility to cold, limiting cultivation specific regions. This study investigated genes associated with cold responsiveness in roots two cultivars, SQSL (cold-tolerant) XZX45 (cold-susceptible), through transcriptome dynamics analysis during seedling stage. The identified 8144 6427 differentially expressed (DEGs) SQSL, respectively. Among these DEGs, 4672 (G2) were shared by both while 3472 DEGs (G1) XZX45, 1755 (G3) SQSL. Additionally, 572 transcription factors (TFs) from 48 TF families, including WRKY, NAC, bHLH, ERF, bZIP, MYB, C2H2, GRAS, identified. Gene Ontology (GO) enrichment revealed significant G3 group, “response cold” category, highlighting crucial role response Furthermore, Kyoto Encyclopedia Genes Genomes (KEGG) indicated pronounced group metabolic pathways such as “Pyruvate metabolism”, “Glycolysis/Gluconeogenesis”, “Starch sucrose contributing tolerance mechanisms Overall, this provides comprehensive insights into molecular underlying responses informing future genetic improvement strategies enhance susceptible rice cultivars.

Inheritance of rice cold tolerance at the seedling stage
Rice (Oryza sativa L.) cold tolerance at the initial stages of development is a highly desirable trait to be incorporated into the state of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil, cultivars, but selection for this trait must be performed under controlled temperature conditions, which limits the number of lines that can be evaluated. Knowledge of the inheritance of this trait is important to define breeding ...

Study of the morphological genetic diversity of 114 lines, which have been derived from the crosses between Tarom Mahalli and Khazar cultivars, has been performed at seedling stage as completely randomized design at the normal condition and salinity stress of 8 dS.m-1 in a hydroponic system. Significant differences were detected between genotypes for all traits. Mean of comparison demonstrated ...

The Oryza sativa L. F8 population derived from a cross between salt tolerance cv. Ahlemi Tarom and salt sensitive cv. Neda was used in the study. Germinated seeds floated on water for 3 d, and after were transferred to float on Yoshida's nutrient solution for 11 d. two weeks after sowing, the seedling was transferred to nutrient solution containing 51.19 mM NaCl (electrical conductivity 6 dSm-1...
متن کاملComparative Metabolite Profiling of Two Rice Genotypes with Contrasting Salt Stress Tolerance at the Seedling Stage
BACKGROUND Rice is sensitive to salt stress, especially at the seedling stage, with rice varieties differing remarkably in salt tolerance (ST). To understand the physiological mechanisms of ST, we investigated salt stress responses at the metabolite level. METHODS Gas chromatography-mass spectrometry was used to profile metabolite changes in the salt-tolerant line FL478 and the sensitive vari...
