Transition between flow-drill screwing systems considering joining process and joint characteristics

نویسندگان

چکیده

Flow-drill screwing is one of the key joining technologies for car body structures in multi-material lightweight design. In course technological developments and subsequent volume production a product, different assets are used to obtain same joints, assuming that similar processes yield joint characteristics. Since simple transfer process parameters materials usually not possible, remarkable experimental effort required meet manufacturing requirements. this study transition an enhanced flow-drill system its effects on investigated. For purpose, two systems typically automotive industry considered. An application-oriented approach determining shown. First, optimal target were determined based curves initial by fulfilling requirements joint. The joints evaluated using cross sections single-lap shear tests. On basis, results both compared. Due further development times can be significantly shortened while achieving mechanical properties better control at time.

Laminar-turbulent transition process in pulsatile flow.

A controlled ex-vivo study of a simple, sinusoidally oscillating flow in a rigid, constant-area, smooth tube, has produced significant insight into the laminar-turbulent transition phenomenon. The development of turbulence was studied by analyzing the dynamic characteristics of the transition process; i.e., the velocity, growth rate, and intermittency which describe the generation and propagati...

Comparison between Interval and Fuzzy Load Flow Methods Considering Uncertainty

This paper presents a power flow algorithm to carry out load flow by analysing uncertainties. The proposed algorithm is compared with Fuzzy arithmetic to deal the effect of uncertainity. The proposed method is Interval load flow i.e. Interval Improved Fast Decoupled Power Flow (IIFDPF) that considers input parameters as interval variables and considered method is trapezoidal method have been em...

Plastic Deformation Characteristics of Continuous Confined Strip Shearing Process Considering the Deformation Homogeneity and Damage Accumulation

In the present investigation, two dimensional elastoplastic finite element analysis was conducted to assess the deformation characteristics of Al 1100 alloy during continuous confined strip shearing (C2S2) process. The results of simulations showed that the plastic strain distribution across the deformed sample is non-uniform irrespective of the amount of friction and C2S2 die angle. The most u...
