Transmit Covariance and Waveform Optimization for Non-Orthogonal CP-FBMA System

Filter bank multiple access (FBMA) without subbands orthogonality has been proposed as a new candidate waveform to better meet the requirements of future wireless communication systems and scenarios. It ability process directly complex symbols any fancy preprocessing. Along with usage cyclic prefix (CP) wide-banded subband design, CP-FBMA can further improve peak-to-average power ratio bit error rate performance while reducing length filters. However, potential gain removing constraint on filters in system not fully exploited from perspective which inspires us optimize for maximizing achievable rate. Besides, we propose joint optimization algorithm both covariance matrices iteratively. Furthermore, filter design practical applications available spectrum consists several isolated bandwidth parts. Both general framework detailed derivation algorithms are presented. Simulation results show that converge after only few iterations sum dramatically transmission delay information symbols.
