Transverse thickness profile control of electrical steel in 6-high cold rolling mills based on the GA-PSO hybrid algorithm

In order to meet the shape control requirements of “dead flat” transverse thickness profile electrical steel sheet in cold rolling process, 3D finite element model (FEM) for roll stacks and strip 6-high tandem mills (TCMs) was built with developed Edge Drop Control Work Rolls Non-shifting (EDW-N). The efficiency curves work bending (WRB), intermediate (IRB), shifting (IRS) process are obtained performance. strategy multi-stand multi-variable flatness actuators, i.e., WRB, IRB, IRS stands 1 ~ 5 TCMs is proposed based on GA-PSO hybrid algorithm better optimization ability. results show that can fully exploit ability achieve high precision TCMs. industrial application production gives remarkable rate measured crown less than 7 ?m increased from 38.58 67.74% 1420-mm has applied successfully.
