A Survey of Carsharing Preferences
A survey of attitudes to carsharing is described. Stated response techniques were used, with respondents asked to make various choices between hypothetical alternatives and to indicate how they would behave in hypothetical situations. This provided a rich but inexpensive set of data on the preferences and predicted behaviour of people in Calgary, Canada who generally had no prior experience wit...
متن کاملIndividuals’ Acceptance to Free-Floating Electric Carsharing Mode: A Web-Based Survey in China
Carsharing is growing rapidly in popularity worldwide. When the vehicles involved are Battery Electric Vehicles (BEV), carsharing has been proven to remarkably contribute to easing energy and environment crises. In this study, individuals' acceptance to carsharing in China was measured from three aspects: carsharing mode choice behavior, highest acceptable price to use carsharing, and willingne...
متن کاملMechanisms for House Allocation with Existing Tenants under Dichotomous Preferences
We consider house allocation with existing tenants in which each agent has dichotomous preferences. We present strategyproof, polynomial-time, and (strongly) individually rational algorithms that satisfy the maximum number of agents. For the endowment only model, one of the algorithms also returns a core-stable allocation.
متن کاملAn Explanatory Model Approach for the Spatial Distribution of Free-Floating Carsharing Bookings: A Case-Study of German Cities
When the first free-floating carsharing operators launched their business, they did not know if it would be profitable. They often started in highly populated cities without performing extensive target group analysis, and were less concerned about fleet management. Usually, there are two main datasets that can be used to find areas that would have a high demand for free-floating carsharing: boo...
متن کاملExact algorithms for solving a bi-level location–allocation problem considering customer preferences
The issue discussed in this paper is a bi-level problem in which two rivals compete in attracting customers and maximizing their profits which means that competitors competing for market share must compete in the centers that are going to be located in the near future. In this paper, a nonlinear model presented in the literature considering customer preferences is linearized. Customer behavior ...
