چکیده
In esophageal pathologies, such as atresia, cancers, caustic burns, or post-operative stenosis, replacement is performed by using parts of the gastrointestinal tract to restore nutritional autonomy. However, this surgical procedure most often does not lead complete functional recovery and instead associated with many complications resulting in a decrease quality life survival rate. Esophageal tissue engineering (ETE) aims at repairing defective esophagus considered promising therapeutic alternative. Noteworthy progress has recently been made ETE research area but strong challenges remain replicate structural integrity approaches currently being developed. Within context, 3D bioprinting emerging new technology facilitate patterning both cellular acellular bioinks into well-organized structures. Here, we present comprehensive overview recent advances for reconstruction specific focus on ETE. Current biofabrication techniques bioink features are highlighted, these discussed view complexity native that designed substitute needs replace. Finally, perspectives strategies fabricating other tubular organ substitutes via briefly their potential applications.

متن کاملDirect Cartilage Repair Using 3D Bioprinting Technology
INTRODUCTION: Articular cartilage is commonly injured and current tissue engineering strategies cannot as yet fabricate new tissue that is indistinguishable from native cartilage with respect to zonal organization, ECM composition, and mechanical properties. Almost all current strategies of cartilage repair involve a procedure of removing healthy cartilage tissue around the lesion to create art...

Surgical limitations require alternative methods of repairing and replacing diseased and damaged tissue. Regenerative medicine is a growing area of research with engineered tissues already being used successfully in patients. However, the demand for such tissues greatly outweighs the supply and a fast and accurate method of production is still
متن کامل3D Bioprinting Technologies for Hard Tissue and Organ Engineering
Hard tissues and organs, including the bones, teeth and cartilage, are the most extensively exploited and rapidly developed areas in regenerative medicine field. One prominent character of hard tissues and organs is that their extracellular matrices mineralize to withstand weight and pressure. Over the last two decades, a wide variety of 3D printing technologies have been adapted to hard tissue...
