Two-Stage Robust Liner Container Booking with Uncertain Customer Demand

Since third-party logistics (3PL) offers discounted prices for booking containers in advance, the container decisions are preferably made prior to realization of customer demand by companies with international trade business. When facing uncertain influenced various factors, it is significant make proper and order fulfillment plans minimize total cost, including cost penalty an unfulfilled order. In this paper, a two-stage robust liner problem (2-RLCBP) was investigated, exact algorithm high efficiency designed solve based on column-and-constraint generation (C&CG) framework. Compared other methods gaps more than 70% existing after 3600 s, proposed can get optimal solution real case instance 700 s. Furthermore, compared deterministic model, optimization model reduce 10% worst-case when budget level deviation greater 0.6, which verifies effectiveness approach. our work first adopt approach container.
