Unique Complications and Failure Modes of Iliac Branch Devices
نویسندگان
چکیده
A retrospective, single-center review was performed from 2014 to 2019. total of 64 iliac branch devices (IBDs) were placed in patients (n = 59; [92%] with the Gore excluder graft [W. L. and Associates, Flagstaff, Ariz]; n 5 [8%] Cook Zenith branched device [Cook Medical, Bloomington, Ind]). Technical success achieved 60 (94%). Previous endovascular aortic aneurysm repair (EVAR) 14 significantly associated technical failure. Five cases component separation between main body IBD had occurred required bridging components (three intraoperatively two during follow-up). Increased tortuosity aortoiliac iliac-specific segments separation, as use larger internal components. Internal occlusions four (7%; successfully reopened procedures asymptomatic). IBD-specific complications rarely occur. history EVAR failure, increased predictive type III endoleak.

Endovascular repair of bilateral common iliac artery aneurysms using GORE Excluder iliac branch endoprosthesis without aortobi-iliac stent graft conjunction
INTRODUCTION Bilateral common iliac artery (CIA) aneurysm (CIAA) is a rare entity. In the past decade, different endovascular approaches have been adopted for patients with several comorbidities or unfit for open repair (OR). Recently, the use of iliac branch stent graft has been proposed, resulting in satisfactory patency rates and decrease in morbidity. Currently, according to instruction for...
متن کاملRisk Assessment of Clinical Care in Emergency Departments ByHealth Failure Modes and Effects Analysis
Introduction: Medical errors are among significant health system problems. The best method to detect errors is to identify the root and systemic causes of errors. Objective: This study aimed to investigate the failures of clinical care in emergency departments using the Healthcare Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (HFMEA). Materials and Methods: This was an analytical and cross-sectional stu...

The International Technology Roadmap for Semiconductors (ITRS [ 1 ] ) identifi es emerging technologies with the potential to sustain Moore’s Law. A necessary succession from planar CMOS (complementary metal-oxide semiconductors) to nonplanar/dual-gate CMOS, and ultimately to novel architectures such as carbon nanotube (CNT)-based nano-electromechanical systems (NEMS) is envisioned. The ITRS al...
متن کاملFailure Modes of Laminate Structures
Laminate structures composed of alternating thin layers of conductor and dielectric material are commonly used in energy storage and transmission components. The failure of the dielectric layers in regions of high field stress, with applied 60 Hz ac, de and impulse voltages, was studied. Several geometries were compared, including staggered and fiush edges. Electrical trees developed between th...
