Using Evidence-Based Learning Strategies to Improve Medical Education

Abstract Medical education research has been adopting principles from psychology to improve student learning. Here is an overview and illustrative examples of six evidence-based learning strategies that have thoroughly researched validated in the literature: spacing, interleaving, retrieval practice, elaboration, dual coding, concrete examples. For each these, their use within medical considerations may influence efficacy are discussed. researchers should collaborate more with transdisciplinary teams better implement these directly benefit advances made literature.
