Using Flat-Panel Perfusion Imaging to Measure Cerebral Hemodynamics
Flat-detector CT perfusion (FD-CTP) imaging has demonstrated efficacy in qualitatively accessing the penumbra in acute stroke equivalent to that of magnetic resonance perfusion (MRP). The aim of our study was to evaluate the feasibility of quantifying oligemia in the brain in patients with carotid stenosis.Ten patients with unilateral carotid stenosis of >70% were included. All MRPs and FD-CTPs...
متن کاملCerebral perfusion imaging using EIT
Imaging of cerbral perfusion is understood to provide rich information on cerebral processes. This study explores whether EIT is able to image perfusion in the brain. In a single rat, a bolus of hypertonic saline was introduced into an arterial catheter during two activity states, and EIT images reconstructed. Results suggest that changes in perfusion pattern are visible in EIT images.
متن کاملCerebral hemodynamics in Moyamoya disease: correlation between perfusion-weighted MR imaging and cerebral angiography.
BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE In Moyamoya disease, the relationship between cerebral hemodynamics and angiographic findings has not been fully evaluated. The purpose of this study is to evaluate hemodynamics in Moyamoya disease with perfusion-weighted MR imaging (PWI) and cerebral angiography. METHODS Twenty patients with Moyamoya disease were the subjects. Mean transit time (MTT) derived from PWI w...
متن کاملCerebral perfusion imaging by bolus tracking.
Cerebral perfusion may be visualized by the dynamic imaging of an intravenously injected bolus (a few milliliters) of clinically approved gadolinium-containing contrast media. During its passage through the vasculature of the brain, the contrast agent induces magnetic field disturbances, which can be seen as signal loss on appropriately weighted dynamic MRI. This article deals with the quantita...
متن کاملA-Si FLAT PANEL
Flat Panel Illustration In 2000, a large array A-Si flat panel EPID detector was installed (AL-7) on one of the PRIMUS accelerator at UCSF to allow for a comparison of performance. During the development period of MVCBCT, the introduction in 2004 of a new flat panel (AG-9) better optimized for high energy photons showed a several fold increase in sensitivity, allowing the routine acquisition of...
